VOC's
VOC stands for "Volatile Organic Compound". Typically, VOC's are solvents used in paint to serve as the carrier for pigment. Some VOC's include lead, cadmium, formadehyde, or benzene. Exposure to VOC's can trigger asthma attacks, create eye and throat irritation, nausea and headaches. Long-term exposure to VOC's may result in cancer and diseases of the kidney and liver. The Xiom 1000 system and coatings are VOC free. |

Energy use
Energy use for the Xiom 1000 system is low since electricity is not required. Only the coating and substrate are required to be heated to a certain degree. In a conventional powder coating system, an entire booth or oven must be heated and maintained at a high temperature in order to melt a plastic coating properly. |
